Security roles give Sitecore users different access rights to different areas of a site. To configure the access that a user has to the features in the Sitecore Forms, you can assign the necessary access rights through the security roles described in this topic.

To give access to all the features in the application, you can assign the Forms Editor role. This role is a member of the following roles:

  • Sitecore Client Authoring – for basic item-editing features.
  • Sitecore Analytics Maintaining – for access to the Campaign creator.

With the Forms Editor role, a user can access the Sitecore Forms application from the Launchpad and is able to create, edit, and delete forms.

With the Forms Editor role, a user can access the Forms module from the Launchpad and is able to create, edit, and delete forms.

Administrators and developers who need to work with Sitecore Forms in the Content Editor must have administrator rights in Sitecore, for example, to publish a form on a webpage or add a custom form element. There is a predefined administrator role in Sitecore that has access to Sitecore\admin.
